Behaviour for Learning

We want our pupils to become highly effective learners ready for the 21st century and all the challenges that it will bring. As a school, we encourage appropriate behaviour for learning through the 5 R’s:

  • Ready to Learn: we question, are imaginative, make links, and are resourceful
  • Relationships: we collaborate, empathise, and listen to others
  • Risk Takers: we are not scared to be wrong, we make mistakes and learn from them
  • Reflective Learners: we plan, revise our plans, and review together or alone
  • Resilient Learners: we don’t give up, we manage distractions, and have ‘stickability’
